EGGstraordinary Show
March is Reading Month will focus on Anti-Bullying. An all school assembly will feature Shizzle Dizzle Magic. They teach kids about bullying by introducing "Gus the Rubber Chicken". He's the world's only professional stunt chicken! Throughout the show he does all kinds of cool magic stunts like getting hypnotized, laying eggs (he's a boy!), and surviving a magical contraption that almost turns him into dinner!
Gus is also the target of school yard bullying. Through his story, kids learn how to identify bullying behavior, the effects of it, and most importantly how to take a stand!
The assembly concludes with a mock game show. Four lucky students win fabulous “Gus”-themed prizes in exchange for answering questions about bullying. This is an opportunity for Steele students and staff to address specific issues relating to bullying.
