Positive Behavior Point System
Each student has the opportunity to earn points for doing such positive things as: being respectful, helping students and staff, being cooperative, having a positive attitude, receiving good grades, and helping mediate peer conflicts. Students accumulate points and can purchase things like being able to redo an assignment, receiving an extension on an assignment, the removal of a tardy, and other incentives as Summit’s staff determines. Also, at the end of each trimester there is an auction where students are able to bid on items like gift cards, school supplies, and other fun items with the points they have accumulated for their positive behavior.
